Coyote Skull

I first found this young female Coyote dumped in the woods near my house a few years ago. After a few visits it seems that she had been
intentionally covered with leaves, I like to think by the rest of her pack. Two years later I went to find the skull and at first
I saw no sign of anything under the leaves. A little digging and all the bones were as they were first placed, the forest floor
had been quite efficient at recycling the dead. Wile I was cleaning the skull in a five gallon plastic pail a iron pellet fell to
the bottom and upon inspection of the rinsed skull another I found a 5 mm iron pellet imbedded in the cheek they could
have been enough to kill her, eventually.
