Robin Nest

Well I hope I don't need that ladder any time soon. The nest is on the ladder hanging from the rafters. Yesterday I was out under the back deck when I found a new tenet had moved in. She had already built a nest and pushed out a few eggs. Usually if I notice this kind of thing before they get too far along I can shoo them away but this time she was too quick.
She shouldn't do too bad in this spot I don't think the cat can reach the nest and it's out of the rain. 4 eggs will be kind of tough so I'll be looking for the runt to get tossed out at some point. In nature "The needs of the many, out weigh the needs of the few". The tricky part will be when they leave the nest. If the cat happens to be around they had better make their first flight a good one. That would be the first rule of nature, you don't have to be able to outrun the cat just your fellow mice. The second rule of nature is if there are too many cats then they all starve when the mice have all been eaten.
